Preti Flaherty's Employment Law Group is pleased to announce the return of its Breakfast Series. Please join us for informal and interactive conversations on important employment related topics and discuss everyday employment challenges with your fellow HR professionals.

Our 2017 series kicks off with a conversation focusing on marijuana, employers and the new legal landscape. Over the next 6 months, the Maine Legislature will be hammering out the laws and regulations accompanying the use of marijuana for recreational purposes.  As legislators and state officials draw up these complex rules, Maine employers need to understand how best to position themselves to be ready when those rules take effect.

Employment attorney, Matt LaMourie, will provide an update on developments in Augusta, discuss steps employers can take now to prepare for a post-legalization environment and answer questions associated with your efforts to implement workplace practices that reasonably address this new legal landscape.
