Michael joined Preti Flaherty in September 2004. He started in the
Portland office and transferred to the Concord office in November 2005. A
native of Concord, Michael graduated from St. Paul's School in 1993 and
graduated from Duke University with degrees in public policy studies and
Spanish. During his junior year, Michael studied at the University of New
South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
Michael worked as a journalist
following his graduation from Duke. He covered courts and crime in the
federal and state courts in Anderson, Indiana for The Herald Bulletin and in
Naples, Florida for The Naples Daily News.
After his career
as a journalist, Michael graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School,
where he served as a note editor of the Suffolk University Law Review, and
won a jurisprudence award for excellence in professional responsibility.
During law school, Michael interned with the United States Attorney's
Office in Boston, and worked as a research assistant for two professors in the
areas of estates and trusts and professional responsibility.
Michael primarily practices business law in Concord, but his practice
also includes civil and criminal litigation. He is licensed to practice in
the state and federal courts of New Hampshire and Maine. Michael
lives in Concord with his wife, who is also a member of the New Hampshire Bar.
