Evan M. Hansen is primarily a litigator specializing in defense of employers
in workers' compensation, labor and employment cases, and personal injury
defense. Within personal injury defense, he specializes in defense of ski
areas and other sport and recreational injury cases.
Evan was born in
Portland, Maine. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern
Maine and cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in 1984. He
joined Preti Flaherty the same year.
He is a member of the American, Cumberland County and Maine State Bar
Associations, the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Ski
Defense Attorneys. He is a frequent speaker at seminars on workers'
compensation, employment law, the Americans with Disabilities Act and ski area
liability issues. He is listed in Woodward/White's The Best Lawyers in
