BIOGRAPHY

Joshua R. Carver practices with Preti Flaherty’s Litigation Group as an Associate in the Portland office. He focuses his practice on anti-trust and competition law, as well as complex commercial litigation, products liability, and land use disputes. Prior to joining Preti Flaherty, Josh practiced with the litigation groups at WilmerHale in Boston, MA and Paul Frank + Collins in Burlington, VT.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

Joshua is experienced in all facets of litigation, from filing of complaints, through discovery, alternative dispute resolution and trial. With his former firms, Josh has handled matters such as:

  • Successfully defended the owner of multiple motorcycle dealerships at trial in a business dispute from claims alleging fraud and breach of contract.
  • Represented one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies in multiple products liability actions filed in state court.
  • Represented the developer of a mixed-use project in a zoning and easement dispute with the owner of an abutting project.
  • Successfully represented a company in challenging the Massachusetts State Treasurer's application of the state's abandoned property laws.
