Stephen D. Wilson is a partner in Preti Flaherty's Litigation, Intellectual Property, Business Law, and Securities practice groups. Steve is Chair of Preti Flaherty's Recruitment Committee. His broad-based litigation and appellate experience includes successful representation of clients in numerous state and federal courts throughout Maine and Massachusetts, as well as other states. He has served as lead counsel and local counsel in a number of cases and alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including mediation, arbitration, and judicial settlement conferences.

In connection with his securities practice, Steve has counseled and represented clients in connection with litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other matters involving shareholder disputes, broker/dealer liability, employment termination matters, noncompete agreements, shareholder derivative litigation, officer and director liability, majority shareholder liability, investor complaints, entity formation, and other securities issues.

Steve is licensed to practice in both Maine and Massachusetts, and is admitted before the United States District Court for the District of Maine, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He has served as a faculty member for continuing legal education courses regarding commercial and residential evictions and landlord/tenant law. Before joining Preti Flaherty, he served a Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable Paul L. Rudman of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, and practiced for five years with a prominent mid-sized Portland law firm.
