William Whitney joined the Concord, NH office of Preti Flaherty in 2011 and practices with the firm's Litigation Group. He previously served as a Litigation associate with Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP in New York.
William also served as a volunteer attorney in the Civil Division of the New Hampshire Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, and as a judicial law clerk to Judge Scott W. Stucky at the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
While attending Cornell Law School, William served as a Legal Intern with the First Amendment Project, a non-profit law firm dedicated to First Amendment litigation. He also served as a Managing Editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy.
William earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College where he was awarded the "Story Prize" for best philosophy thesis.
