Biography

Randall is a former Trial Attorney for the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and concentrates on the resolution of business disputes with a focus on complex litigation, including class actions, antitrust claims and government investigations. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has been successful before judges and juries in state and federal court. He also counsels business clients on various corporate and commercial matters, including Hart-Scott-Rodino filings, competition law, and rights and obligations under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).

Randall has authored articles on various litigation topics, including the section on the United States in "Serving Process and Obtaining Evidence Abroad" by Kluwer Law International and "International Judicial Assistance in Civil Matters" for The Center for International Legal Studies in Salzburg, Austria.

He graduated from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Following law school, he practiced law in Washington, D.C., with Howrey & Simon, a firm specializing in antitrust litigation until he joined the Justice Department. He joined Preti Flaherty in 1983.
