Proposed Maine Remedial Action Guidelines for Sites Contaminated with Hazardous Substances

Join Us for a Breakfast Briefing Featuring Guest Speakers Ron Dyer & David Wright of the Maine DEP.

Please join Preti Flaherty's Environmental Law Group for a presentation on proposed revisions to the Remedial Action Guidelines (RAGs). Maine DEP representatives Ron Dyer (Director of the Bureau of Remediation and Waste Management) and David Wright (Director of the Bureau's Division of Remediation) will discuss the proposed revisions.

Join us February 14th for a Breakfast Briefing discussion covering, among other things:

  • New, expanded standards include indoor air and groundwater – in addition to soil
  • Updated/new background contaminant concentration levels for Maine sites
  • Changes to the process for selecting cleanup goals at sites with mixtures of contaminants

This is a timely briefing, as the Maine DEP is seeking comment on these proposals by February 27, 2012. More detailed information on the proposed revisions are available on the Maine DEP website.
