Kara N. Sweeney focuses her practice on general business, securities and affordable housing matters from Preti Flaherty's Concord, NH office.  She works on a variety of commercial transactions in the areas of entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and commercial real estate. She counsels established business entities and start up ventures in the private offering of debt and equity securities and assists clients with Exchange Act reporting compliance and corporate governance matters.  In the affordable housing arena, Kara works with multi-family and elderly housing project developers, state and federal financing agencies, commercial lenders and local housing authorities on the acquisition, development and financing of affordable housing projects. Kara was recently listed as a "Rising Star" in Super Lawyers New England.

Prior to practicing law, Kara held management positions in resort operations at two Vermont ski resorts.  She resides in Bow, NH.
