Holly R. Jones practices with Preti Flaherty's Litigation, Professional Services and Health Law Groups from the firm's Portland office. She concentrates her practice on defending healthcare practitioners and institutions in medical malpractice claims, as well as representing healthcare practitioners before their respective Maine licensing boards. She has successfully tried medical malpractice cases before juries and pre-litigation screening panels, and adjudicatory hearings before licensing boards. From peer nomination, she has been selected as a "Rising Star" in Super Lawyers New England for medical malpractice in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Holly also serves on Preti Flaherty's Recruitment Committee.
While at law school, Holly was selected as Prize Arguer and named Best Oralist of the 2005 Moot Court Team. She was also selected as one of four students to compete in the Regional Trial Advocacy Competition. Upon graduation, Holly received the Gignoux Award for Appellate Advocacy. At Penn, Holly majored in both International Relations and French Studies. She spent much of her time as a coxswain for the men's lightweight crew.
Prior to launching her legal career, Holly held positions with the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and the Maine International Trade Center.
