Deering hockey players to have their day in court
11.11.2011
PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Some Deering High School hockey players will have their day in court, sooner rather than later, in their fight with the Maine Principal's Association.
Three Deering players are suing the MPA in an attempt to play hockey this season for Portland High School. Deering does not have enough players for a team this year.
Officials with the MPA say rules prohibit large school's such as Deering and Portland from combining sports programs.
