Bonnie L. Martinolich came to Preti Flaherty in 1996 with a diverse background including substantial experience in the practice of real estate and commercial law.
As a former associate with the New York law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton, Bonnie amassed extensive expertise in commercial and real estate transactions, including negotiating and documenting the leasing, acquisition and financing of varied projects and businesses. Her clients have included national insurance companies, borrowers, lenders and Fortune 500 companies.
As a partner in Preti Flaherty's Portland-based Corporate/Commercial Practice Group, she serves a client base that includes individuals, real estate developers and large and small businesses.
Bonnie earned her Juris Doctorate at The Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, from which she graduated summa cum laude, first in a class of 203 in 1992, and where she was editor-in-chief of the Law Review. Before entering law school, she graduated with high honors from Rochester Institute of Technology, where she earned a degree in nuclear medicine technology in 1978.
She also studied toward an MBA at Hofstra University in New York from 1983 to 1985 and later applied that training as a loan officer for Riverhead Savings Bank in New York.
As a law student, Bonnie worked as a summer associate in a Westhampton Beach, New York, law office and accepted a summer position at Debevoise & Plimpton the following year. She became a full-time associate there in 1992.
A native of Hampton Bays, New York, Bonnie lives in Yarmouth, Maine.
