Preti Flaherty attorney David Van Slyke presented "L.D. 1 and the Board of Environmental Protection" at the December 7, 2011 Environmental Symposium hosted by the Maine State Chamber of Commerce.
Van Slyke, who serves as Chair of Preti Flaherty's Environmental Law Practice Group, presented an overview of recent legislatively-mandated changes to the size and composition of the Board of Environmental Protection as well as the newly-established scope of responsibilities of the BEP and the Maine DEP in the areas of rulemaking and permitting.
