Climate Matters Breakfast - April 14, 2010
Preti Flaherty's Climate Strategy Group invites you to attend a Climate Matters breakfast featuring Michael Stoddard, the newly appointed director of the Efficiency Maine Trust.
Michael Stoddard will discuss the following:
- Maine's comprehensive efforts to manage energy efficiency, alternative energy resources, and conservation programs administered by the Efficiency Maine Trust.
- How the Trust plans to manage $188 million in spending over the next three years opportunities for businesses and individuals to receive grants and other incentives for energy projects
- Possible future energy initiatives and how they may impact businesses and individuals
Altogether, these efforts are projected to result in nearly $810 million in energy savings to Maine consumers and a $1 billion increase in Maine's gross state product, create more than 12,000 net person-years of employment, and reduce nearly 300,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year, equivalent to removing 52,000 cars from circulation.
